To Wander in Wonder

I used to be a globe-trotter, and proudly so. I thought that's what you did if you wanted to be cultured. And in all honesty, I'm grateful for those experiences. Why wouldn't I be? I'm grateful for all experiences I've experienced: the bitter, the sour, the salty, and the sweet.

Yes, I was a purchaser of airline tickets back before I knew better. If you still fly, I know how hard it is to imagine why on earth anyone would want to give it up. The best way I can describe how I feel about flying now is to ask you to imagine the most disgusting thing you can think of being done to your mother. Or if you and your mother maybe have a frought relationship, think of the most disgusting thing you can think of being done to someone you love. Now imagine that you are the one doing that disgusting thing to your beloved. And when, even in your imagination, you force yourself to cease and desist such grotesque fictions... you hear someone asking you "why on earth would anyone want to give that up?"

I'm not telling you what to do. I'm sharing my own personal experience. Don't come at me LOL. Or do, I guess. If you feel so compelled :-)

Better yet, take three short minutes of you life to find out how you too can broaden your own cultural horizons without ever purchasing another airline ticket again:
